Welcome. Thank you for visiting. Here you’ll find information on why I’m running, where I stand, and why we need to reduce the bloated bureaucracy in the Martin County’s Tax Collector Office. I am a fiscal conservative who wants to bring leadership, change, and maximize the tax revenues returned to Martin County.

“I am committed to returning additional dollars to the taxpayers of Martin County.”

Dennis has the experience and commitment to the community to do the job. A Republican and former Martin County Commissioner, he will eliminate wasteful spending in the Tax Collector’s Office. Dennis thinks our residents need a proven leader who can identify the inefficiencies and use taxpayer dollars wisely.

Dennis believes the main issues are:

  • Expenses increased 60% from $2.8 million to over $5.9 million (02 to 07)
  • Too many Tax Collector’s Offices in Martin County – overstaffed and underutilized
  • A bloated bureaucracy that costs too much and is inefficient
  • The current Tax Collector office hasn’t been receptive to reducing costs.
  • Money can be saved by better management

  • Dennis understands the challenges facing Martin County dealing with state-mandated budget cuts, and he’s committed to bringing expenditures and revenues back into balance. Questionable satellite offices and overstaffing are two issues Dennis will immediately address.

    Dennis Armstrong will:

  • Identify and eliminate wasteful spending
